Guided tour, sightseeing, tours, educational visit, Renaissance itinerary: La Disfida di Barletta

This itinerary traces the places of the Challenge, which took place in Barletta in 1503. Starting from the place where it have been launched the challenge between the French and Spanish knights, then present in Barletta, to arrive at the Cathedral which houses the painting of Our Lady of the Assumption, also known as Madonna della Sfida (Challenge's Madonna). The visit will conclude in front of the statue of Massimo D'Azeglio, author of the historical novel "Ettore Fieramosca", which inspired the episode of the challenge.

ITINERARY: start from the Cantina della Sfida (Challenge’s cellar) – Monument in piazza Sfida – via Duomo (Consalvo da Cordova’s house) – Cathedral Santa Maria Maggiore – arrival in front of the statue of Massimo D’Azeglio
